The Rusyn International Media Center (RIMC) was developed to serve as a clearinghouse for Rusyn-related news items, articles, and other current affairs information available on the World Wide Web.
It contains a news service that gathers all on-line media reports and news articles about Rusyns or developments in the Rusyn homeland.
It also features a document clearinghouse that presents bibliographies, book reviews and announcements, articles, and other information relating to present-day developments of all kinds, including politics.
Finally, it provides general links to on-line Rusyn media or other news media based in the Carpathian region.
The Rusyn International Media Center is an independently-produced service and is not affiliated with any organization.
The developers and primary supporters are Rusyn Americans working in various fields. They are united in their belief that Carpatho-Rusyns (that is, Lemkos in Poland, the Rusnaks of Yugoslavia, and the indigenous eastern Slavs of Slovakia, the Zakarpatska Oblast of Ukraine, Hungary and Romania) form a separate nation. However, the articles that are linked from RIMC may represent any point of view about the national status of Carpatho-Rusyns.
