The Svaliava branch of the Society of Carpatho-Rusyns, registered in the Zakarpatska oblast of Ukraine (historic Subcarpathian Rus'), reports that a total of seven Rusyn heritage schools are currently in operation in various population centers of the oblast.

The schools are in operation in the following locations:
-- Mukachevo (2 schools);
-- Bushtyno;
-- Tiachovo;
-- Strabychovo;
-- Perechyn;
-- Poliana.
Among the instructional texts used in the schools is Istoriia Podkarpatskoi Rusi by Petro Hod'mash.

In addition, the village of Tybava has set up a "spiritual/Rusyn school", with the assistance of the local priest, with 105 students.
