Summary:
Ruske Slovo spoke to Marija Dudaš, editor of Rusyn-language editions of the Institute for Textbook Publishing, about concerning the status of this year’s textbooks for Rusyn students.

For the 2002-2003 school year, the Institute is planning 24 Rusyn-language titles, of which 12 are new and intended for elementary schools, and one for high schools. First-year students will have a new math textbook and workbooks; third-year students will have a new natural and social sciences textbook along with accompanying workbooks; fifth-year students will have a new geography textbook, workbook and reader; and eighth-year students will have a new history textbook.

Additionally, Dr. Janko Ramač has prepared additional materials concerning Rusyn topics which will be included in the Rusyn-language versions of the third-year natural and social sciences and the eighth-year history textbooks.
