KUCURA YUGOSLAVIA, 22.5.2002. The fine arts and literature colony Erato over Kucur will be held from 21 to 23 June in Kucur, and from 23 May to 15 June organizers are seeking applicants. Those interested must submit up to two fine arts pieces on the theme “Folk Customs of the Vojvodina” or up to two literary works on the theme “The World Around Me.” Literary works must be submitted in Serbian, Rusyn or Hungarian.

Projects completed by the end of the colony will be included in the colony’s annual journal, also called Erato over Kucur.

The colony is organized by the local Society for Rusyn Language, Literature and Culture. According to the Society’s president, Mihajlo Fejsa, the colony has expanded in recent years, and has hit a point where more funding is necessary.

Co-sponsors of the colony include the local branch of Ruska Matka, the Brotherhood and Unity School and other organizations.
