Bogatstvo dvoipolstoljetne kulture Rusina i Ukrajinaca

Summary:
CROATIA. Petrovci, a village near Vukovar and one of the central Rusyn villages of Croatia, hosted the 29th annual "Petrovačko Zvono" festival last weekend. The two-day festival was organized by the Union of Rusyns and Ukrainians of Croatia (Sojuz) and the Joakim Hardi cultural organization. It was sponsored by the Vukovar-Srijem region and the governmental Office for national minorities. Cultural organizations from all over Croatia participated.
Gabrijel Takač, editor-in-chief of Nova Dumka and secretary of the Sojuz, said that the festival “is not only about folklore and music, but also about the other things which make up the lives of a national culture with a tradition from 250 years of living in this place.”
