Summary:
A television program about the seven Rusyn villages in northeastern Slovakia – Ruské/Rus'kŷi, Smolník/Smulnyk, Velká Poľana/Velykŷ Polianŷ, Starina/Staryna, Ostružnica/Struzhnica, Dara, and Zvala (Snina district) - that were depopulated in 1981 due to the construction of a dam on the Cirocha River. Recollections of former villagers are presented amid a backdrop of a Divine Liturgy celebrated by Bishop Milan Chautur (a native of Velká Poľana) at a reunion of former residents of the villages.
