Summary:
Jerzy Świątkiewicz, the Vice-Spokesman for Citizens’ Rights [Zastępca Rzecznika Praw Obywatelskich] led by the president of the Union of Lemkos visited the Lemko village of Florynka. The local cemetery has been systematically damaged by a stream, which washes away human bones. The cemetery is in private Polish hands (which is not an isolated case in the Lemko Region] and the local government has not shown any interest in saving the cemetery. The owner of the land would exchange the cemetery for other piece of land, but appropriate decisions have to be made.
