Всеславянськый Собор в Ужгородi
(Vsederzhavnŷi Rusynskŷi Visnyk, June 2002)

Summary:
On 8 and 9 May 2002, an All-Slavic Conference (Sobor) was held in Užhorod. It was organized by the Cyril and Methodius Subcarpathian Rusyn Society and a preparatory committee led by Fr. Dymytrii Sydor. The conference’s theme was “Zakarpattia – Subcarpathian Rus': Past and Present.”

Guests came from all over the Slavic world, from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Serbia, Bosnia (Republika Srpska), Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Paul Robert Magocsi attended as a member of the World Council of Rusyns.

Among the papers presented were: “The Subcarpathian Rusyn Awakener Aleksander Dukhnovych and Problems of Slavic Culture,” “Contemporary Problems of Ukrainian Rusyns,” "National Problems of the Rusyns of Zakarpattia in the Context of Slavic Solidarity,” “Carpatho-Russian Contributions to Russian Culture,” and “The Rusyn Problem in Light of the International Decade for a Culture of Peace.”
